Welcome Home is a beautiful, yet functional, home goods store. We specialize in heritage and craft brands. We stock linen for kitchen, bath, and table, culinary tools, and decor for the table & home.

We are hiring for 3-4 hour shifts on Saturday or Sunday. During the month of December, we may also have shifts available in Annapolis during Midnight Madness (first three Thursday evenings in Annapolis). Please note, parking is free in downtown Easton, and free parking is available at the Calvert Garage near our store, on the weekend. 

All shifts are 3-4 hours long. All candidates must have weekend availability November 1-December 31. This is a temporary role on our team. It is important to note that this role will end December 31. 

We use iPads extensively. All candidates must be very comfortable navigating this technology. All employees are expected to demonstrate mastery of basic functions in our POS Application, Shopify, within the first 2 shifts of employment.

The job…

  • Fearlessly chatting with strangers
  • Assisting clients in the selection of tableware, table linen, and cooking tools, based on their interests, personal styles, and needs
  • Dusting and folding. Restocking, counting, and organizing. We do this a lot.
  • Receiving inventory stock.
  • Support creation of displays
  • Checking out guests via Shopify, our Point of Sale (POS)

All candidates must have….

  • An outgoing and consultative personality
  • Comfort rolling up their sleeves
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent administrative abilities, including Microsoft Excel
  • Basic math skills and cash handling experience

Physical & Mental Health Requirements

  • Lift at least 30 lbs and walk up and down a flight of steps at least 4-6 times a day.
  • Comfort assessing and understanding facial, physical, and social cues
  • Comfortable working solo
  • Comfortable multi-tasking
  • Ability to manage personal stress and anxiety in complex and sometimes crowded social space

Salary & Team Discount

  • We offer a 25% team discount in all of our stores. 
  • The salary for this temporary position is $18 per hour.
